Our Story
MINSKI is a UK-based slow fashion brand creating joyful, one-of-a-kind clothing with a sense of childlike wonder and playful rebellion. Founded by artist and designer Nina Westwood, the brand began when she was 17— largely self-taught, she spent years experimenting with upcycling, hand-printing, and reworking secondhand pieces into something completely her own. That hands-on, DIY spirit still runs through every stitch of MINSKI, giving the label its distinctive, mischievous style and expressive, offbeat energy.
Each MINSKI piece is made from materials with a past— rescued fabrics, forgotten garments, bits and bobs found in corners of charity shops or gifted from friends. Nina draws inspiration from the hidden stories in those pieces, letting their history shape what they become next.
There’s a constant thread of whimsy in everything she makes: the thrill of dressing up, the magic of mismatched patterns, and the joy of turning the everyday into something enchanted. MINSKI is not just a brand—it’s a living, evolving creative project rooted in community, inviting collaboration with local makers and offering space for others who want to break into the fashion world in a fun, free-spirited way.
MINSKI is about wearing whatever makes you smile, throwing out the rulebook, and remembering how fun it is to get dressed. It’s a love letter to individuality, to making things by hand, and to embracing the weird, the wild, and the wonderful.
