Our Planet and Our Community

Sustainability is at the forefront of MINSKI. We endeavour to minimise any harmful effects on our planet and use eco-friendly practices throughout all aspects of our business, whilst producing contemporary and funky clothing.

Materials

We source eco-friendly, natural materials as well as upcycling pre-loved clothing and fabrics. We take a lot of fabric and clothing donations to give new life to and love teaching people how they can upcycle their own clothing at home.

Fabric Printing

We print our fabric ourselves using hand printing techniques such as block printing and screen printing. This helps us be involved in and understand each process of making a garment and ensures that we can practice this sustainably using non-toxic, eco-friendly  fabric inks.

Packaging

We package our items using reused packaging where possible and 100% recyclable packaging where not. We encourage people to also re-use their packaging for further use.

UK Made

All making processes take place in the UK by local artists and makers. This not only reduces our carbon footprint in terms of shipping and travel, but also provides opportunities for other small businesses and artists to thrive. 

Fabric Waste

Each pattern piece for our clothing is carefully cut out to ensure that we are using as much of the fabric as possible and minimising wastage. Our leftover fabric scraps are then re-used for our clothing labels and bigger pieces for our sew-on upcycle patches.
